  1. @FranksTechHelp do you have any idea about how much time i can record in 1gb memory?

  2. FranksTechHelp on June 10th, 2010 at 6:19 pm

@st4ur0s You should get around 40 minutes of video per GB so I would suggest a 2GB card to equal battery time, 1GB is fine to start tho…

  3. @FranksTechHelp ok thx for your fast replies Frank! I bought mine 4$ from ebay..It should arrive here (Greece) in about 20 or more days (Honk Kong is faaar away :P )

  4. Hi, I’ve just got my MD80, and its playing up already. When I charge it, it has one light on constantly and the other flashing (cant remember the colours) which is normal, but when I unplug it from charging, both lights stay on. I think this is normal but the thing is, i cannot then turn it off. None of the buttons seem to work and there is no way of turning it off. I have taken the sd card out, which is supposedly meant to turn the device off after 30 seconds, but it doesnt?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

@ParryGaming With the card out try plugging it into the charger again and see what happens. Worst case you might have to let it run out of juice and try again, these things are buggy at times.

  6. Hi, my MD80s being weird, I dont think its registering the card. When you take the card out and turn it on, what lights are showing. Mine constantly has a red and blue light on. It wont turn off either :/

  7. @ParryGaming if its the knockoff version there is a reset button located next to the sd card slot u have to press it with a small pin of some sort because the hole is small

  8. @wettosixecho This is ParryGaming, I have tried that and all it does is turn it off. Whenever i turn it back on it does the exact same thing

@PrestigeHD Look for a tiny hole next to the sd card slot that says reset, you may or may not have it depending on which unit you own. But you should be able to reset it from there.

@PrestigeHD So remove the card, reset unit, put card back, then turn on. That normally works, let me know. You might have a bad unit.

@PrestigeHD Also try the same process, but use a idfferent sd card to make sure it not the card, only thing I can think of off hand.

  13. Excellent review of the MD80. Does the MD80 take still pictures or is it just video.

  14. @PrestigeHD I have the same problem

  15. @PrestigeHD What i found out i believe….you can try this but it involves opening the case as mine did the same thing not long after i ordered it.. i found that the lens may have come lose.. as that is what happens when i remove the lens when i opened my case it just fell off. it also blinks a different way i forgot if u put the clip the lens upside down…hope this helps.somewhat

  18. FranksTechHelp on June 22nd, 2010 at 9:28 am

@bballdude2293 That is a new one for me. Try removing the memory card, put it back in and see if it works after that. If not then try reformatting the card and try shooting video again. Let me know what happens.

@FranksTechHelp both did not work. It said windows was not able to complete the format but now when i turn it on, the blue and pink light are on at the same time. Is there a specific sd card i need?

do you know of any good video converters that are free?

  22. FranksTechHelp on June 23rd, 2010 at 5:08 am

@bballdude2293 Google “Prism Video Converter” software. The free version works well for PC or “VideoVangelist” if you are using Mac.
